Chiropractic Functional Neurology is a form of non-invasive neuro-modulation. Specific exercises, light, sound, vibration and other forms of neural stimulation are used to try to strengthen weak, damaged or dysfunctional circuits in the nervous system.  Often times, with the appropriate stimulation applied to a weak or damaged neural circuit, we can improve function in that circuit When this happens, remarkable changes and improved function can occur.  The picture above, shows reversal of foot drop, in a patient suffering from multiple sclerosis after treatment with our methods.

A relatively new phenomenon within the chiropractic profession is Chiropractic Neurology.  It is the study of neurological disorders like Parkinson’s Disease, Neuropathy, Multiple Sclerosis, Vertigo/Balance Issues, Cervical Dystonia, and other conditions. Rather than treating these diseases with medications, chiropractic neurologists assess function. With  detailed knowledge of those neurological neural circuits that are functioning poorly, the chiropractic neurologist will devise a personalized rehabilitation program specific to the patient and their weaknesses. Central to the protocols of the chiropractic neurologist is the use of sensory stimulation techniques to restore or enhance neurological reflexes. This often dramatically improves function for patients.
